Fernando Mazza - Lattice 2024
Discover the 2024 Fernando Mazza Limited Edition Classical Guitar
Fernando Mazza, an acclaimed luthier from Argentina, transitioned from a successful career as a guitarist to crafting world-class classical guitars. Based in his workshop in Arezzo, Italy, Mazza’s creations are renowned for their impeccable craftsmanship, elegant design, and superior sound quality. His signature rosette design, inspired by the iconic arches of Palazzo Ducale in Venice, adds a touch of artistic heritage to each instrument.
Mazza specializes in Australian lattice-style guitars, featuring stiff laminated backs and sides paired with highly responsive lattice-braced tops. He also crafts innovative Nomex double-top guitars, which offer unparalleled projection and tonal spontaneity.
The 2024 Lattice Bracing Model showcases Mazza’s mastery in guitar construction. This exceptional instrument features a red spruce soundboard reinforced with balsa wood and carbon fiber bracing, expertly calibrated to vary between 2.3 mm and 1 mm. The combination ensures a powerful, natural sound enriched with harmonics, balance, and sustain.
The back and sides are crafted from Santos rosewood and maple, enhancing rigidity and structural stability while boosting volume. The Santos rosewood veneer, paired with Nomex, creates a lightweight yet flexible back, optimizing vibrational energy and producing a resonant, full-bodied sound. Carefully selected Brazilian Santos rosewood grains lend each guitar a unique aesthetic.
Fernando Mazza’s 2024 model represents the perfect harmony of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation, delivering an instrument capable of expressing the broadest range of musical nuances.
