Leonardo de Gregorio - Double Top
Leonardo De Gregorio, a guitarist & luthier, studied with Massimo Delle Cese and with Arturo Tallini at the "Arts Academy" International Academy of Music in Rome.
In 2000 he began studying the art of guitar making, referring to the great masters of the past such as Torres and Hauser, but also with a careful eye on avant-garde experiments. Knowing how to play the classical guitar professionally has prompted him to seek in particular those characteristics that are most appreciated by guitarists: responsiveness, volume and ease of play. His instruments are already receiving strong appreciation from experts and enthusiasts.
He was recently awarded (2016) at the Rotary Club of Rome with the historic "La Ruota d'Oro" award, awarded to him in recognition of his significant contribution to the enhancement of artistic craftsmanship. He holds the chair of classical guitar at the Praeneste Music Academy.
